I have a limited technical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop. But looking at the program as a digital canvas with an unlimited paint & brush set, I've used it enough times to have a grasp on the tools at my disposal. I've heard many times that for digitally painting my own drawings, Adobe Illustrator would be the proper choice, as I could use vector imaging and save myself hours of redrawing (
#self-taught problems ).
So I went and got Illustrator, and now see It's completely different from photoshop, yet just similar enough to confuse the living shit out of me. Like when familiar icons do different actions, and tools usually buried in the Photoshop menu bars are right there on the quicklist, but I have no idea how to use them in Illustrator.
I really, really wanted to colour some drawings. Today. Except I can't bring myself to use photoshop for painting anymore if there is an easier way, that only requires that I learn how to use it.
Many an hour is going to be spent watching tutorials this week
